Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Cala di Lepre
A quick shuttle takes us to our four-star resort situated right on the coast of the Costa Smeralda—one of the loveliest shorelines in Europe. After we get fitted on our bikes, we'll take a warm-up ride to Palau, where we can admire the Archipelago of La Maddalena and enjoy the smell of the maquis.
Day 2 – Santa Teresa Gallura
Today we ride to the most northern point of the island, Capo Testa (Testa means "head"). The wind here has modeled enormous granite rocks into formations that resemble animal figures. We'll see the remains of Roman columns through the transparent water of Cala dei Corsari, before heading to our destination. Santa Teresa Gallura is a unique fishing village with a lovely harbor.
Day 3 – Water Sports and Boat Ride
Today we take advantage of the beautiful ocean waters that surround us: a boat ride to secluded beaches for swimming and snorkeling. In the afternoon, you have a choice of limitless activities, including swimming, sailing, soccer, tennis and riding.
Day 4 – Arzachena
This will be a day of prehistory and archaeology as we view some amazing stone structures at Arzachena. We'll visit massive tombs, nuraghi and a small circular arrangement of stones, reminiscent of a mini-Stonehenge. For lunch, the friendly owner of a typical Agriturismo will lead you through a menu of specialties that the kids will love!
Day 5 – Oliena
We pedal inland to a four-star country hotel, legendary for its hospitality and enchanting views in every direction. Nearby is Oliena, our home for the next three nights, surrounded by a dense carpet of olive groves and cannoanau vines.
Day 6 – Tiscali Hike
Today we'll take a day off the bike to hike and explore the Nuraghic village of Mt. Tiscali. Meet local shepherds as we share a barbecue with them in the mountains. You then have the afternoon free, to pursue any activity you wish.
Day 7 – Orgosolo
This morning we'll experience the culture of Oliena, learning how to make a local baking specialty as well as shawls and costumes. After lunch we'll ride up to Orgosolo, known as the village of murals because of its 150 wall paintings (begun in 1975) which comment on topics such as politics, rural life, and social events.
Day 8 – Arrivederci!
After breakfast, we will shuttle you back to Olbia airport, to make your connections. We are happy to help you with any further travel arrangements!
