Ciclismo Supports Family Reach Foundation
3/04/2009 - On February 28th and March 1st, Ciclismo Clasico was on hand at the Boston Sports Club in Lexington to support a fundraiser for the Family Reach Foundation . While managing director Andrew Conway greeted all comers in the lobby, Ciclismo alum and certified cycling coach Kenji Freedman led a group of hardcore Spinners for 3 hours on Saturday and 2 hours on Sunday. Despite an early start (6am!) and a freak snowstorm on Sunday, the event raised over $4000 for this worthy cause.
Ciclismo Supports Women's Cycling
3/02/2009 - On February 27th 2009, Ciclismo's managing director Andrew Conway joined Best Buddies at Belmont Wheelworks for a fun evening of drinks, networking, and celebration of the power of women in cycling. The event was attended by Boston's cycling czar Nicole Freedman and representatives from other leading companies in the bike biz, including Specialized , Pedro's , and Felt Cycles. Richard Fries and his able team from Best Buddies ran the event, and were on hand to sign up riders. A wonderful time was had by all, and many attendees were looking forward to cycling on the day that followed before Sunday's predicted snow arrived.

I recently returned from some bicycling in Italy, mostly in the Alps and the Dolomites. The trip culminated with “La Maratona dles Dolomites,” the biggest, most sought after “gran fondo” (The Great Ride) in Italy and maybe the world.
