Giuseppe "Beppe" Salerno
Giuseppe or “Beppe” hails from Torino and perfected his English while living in the U.S., namely Reno Nevada, San Diego California and Seattle Washington. Not surprisingly, he loves the outdoors and biking all over Italy. Beppe has been a guide with Ciclismo Classico since 2000. He describes traveling by bike to be "addicting." This "addict" lives in anticipation for each bike trip as every one has its own adventures and new experiences, even for this seasoned guide.
When it is too cold to cycle, Beppe pursues his favorite wintertime activity: nordic skiing in the Italian Alps! He is a mountain bike instructor with the Italian Cycling Federation and runs a MTB school to teach kids how to ride. His best ride ever was when he completed the Transrockies Mountain Bike Stage Race in Canada--he had a perfect ride on a tandem! "Soooo smooth," he says of the ride. Also smooth are many of the wines he introduces guests to on tour. He is a wine sommelier and loves to educate guests on wine and wine making.
