Meet Our Leaders

Davide Marchegiano
Italian General Manager and SBS (Super Boy Scout) Davide Marchegiano handles all aspects of our Italian operations, including the hiring and management of our Tour Leader Team. He is an innovator at heart, since he became a trendsetter at age 12 when he converted his mother's bike into a mountain bike – virtually unknown in Italy at the time! A native of Piedmont, a philosopher and a passionate cyclist, Davide oversees all tour operations and ensures that our bicycle fleet remains the best.
Enrico Pizzorni
Tour Leader and Italy R&D specialist. What can't we say about Enrico? Veteran leader from Acqui Terme, Enrico has led every Ciclismo Classico itinerary at least once! Inspired by his first introduction to Fausto Coppi at age 4, Enrico prides himself on his ability to help guests discover their cycling and athletic potential while showing them the insider's' Italy. When not dreaming of his ultimate trip – cycling from Sicily to the Dolomites – Enrico spends time with his family and develops new itineraries all over Italy.

Alessandro Allegro
Since 1999, 'Ale' as he is affectionately known, has applied his degree in electronics and telecommunications to perfecting the technical aspects of cycling. He has shared his knowledge with guests all across Italy, from his home region of Piedmont, all the way to Calabria. Alessandro speaks four languages and his genuine caring, charm and respect for all cultures he visits shine through on every trip he leads.
Gabriele del Rossi
Ever since he inherited his brother's Astro Daimer, Gabriele hasn't stopped cycling! Except to graduate with 2 master's degrees and a NOLS diploma, he has helped shape Ciclismo Classico for 11 years through his research, leadership and tour development skills. Long settled in France, Gabriele shares his love of the outdoors by running student adventure trips for the University of Savoie when not leading our trips through Tuscany, following the Tour de France, or riding a Ciclismo Grand Journey or two.
Suzie Regul
Suzie is our multi-multisport enthusiast! She is not only an expert cyclist and knows Sardinia and Corsica like a local, she is also a certified personal trainer and a professional volleyball player in Brazil, Spain, Turkey and Italy. Guests adore her enthusiasm, sincerity and penchant for inspiring people to achieve their absolute best.
Massimo De Laurentiis
Climbing and descending Europe's peaks is only one of Massimo's claims to fame. He also shares Ciclismo's passions for the outdoors, connecting guests with local culture, and doing what he loves – leading trips like Apennine Splendor, Giro d'Italia and Bike Across Italy! Massimo hails from Abruzzo, makes delicious pasta e fagioli, speaks five languages, is an accounting whiz and helps run an Italian resort.
Marcello Bonini
Ask Marcello what he loves most about leading trips like Tuscany & Elba, Island Hopping and La Bella Sicilia, he'll say "absolutely everything." That's why he has been on our team since 1997. And Marcello has become a master at all things we like to deliver for our guests, from fitness to wine tasting. In addition to being a professional cyclist, he's also a personal trainer, masseur, teacher and sommelier – and comedian extraordinaire. Bravo Marcello!
Dana Geraghty
Dana adds her own creative spices to Ciclismo Classico tours as an accomplished artist with a degree and awards from Colorado State University. With a diverse background in art, history, graphic design, children's theatre, bike shop management and coaching, guests never get bored on a trip with Dana. Jus don't forget to ask her what the secret is for making her very own red wine!
Frank Yantorno
Frank, master mechanic and Colorado native – who now calls Rome his home – used to run a family-owned bike shop in Aspen. With a Master of Arts degree from New York University, Frank shares a dual passion for cycling and photography. Give Frank a broken bike and he'll fix it. Give him a loaded camera and he'll take amazing photos. Better yet, try giving him some grapes and he just might turn over a nice bottle of wine.
Dylan Reynolds
Dylan discovered his love for outdoor sports as a child in Zambia, where he rode on the cross bar of his father's bike and was never afraid to fall. He spent many years in Cambridge, England studying history, cycling and playing squash, before perfecting his language skills (4 of them) and skiing and snowboarding in Milano and Albertville, France. Guests love Dylan's true leadership style as he takes them from Venice to Bologna, on Giro della Toscana, or on our inimitable Sud Tyrol Roll trip.
Gianpaolo Fosco
With roots in the mountains of Trentino Alto Adige, Gianpaolo ventures from the northernmost part of Italy to his favorite touring regions – Puglia, Tuscany and of course, the Dolomites. GP's biking skills are as fine-tuned as his skiing skills – he's a Master Ski Instructor (the one who teaches the teachers in German, Italian, English and even Danish) when he is not on his bike. And that makes him the perfect inspiration to guests on every trip he leads!
Paola Bellocchio
After several years with Ciclismo Classico, Paola's favorite trips are our family trips. Adults and kids immediately click with Paola's ability to lead our Tuscan Fantasy tour. And Paola knows Italy like a book – so much so that she translates the Lonely Planet travel guides into Italian. She's also an interpreter in four languages, an avid reader, an expert cyclist and a true outdoor enthusiast who will share the best of her beloved Italy with each and every guest.
Tyler Savage
Our double-duty Technical Expert Tour Leader based in Tuscany, Tyler and cycling go hand-in-hand: his first bike was a Tyler-brand bike and he's been riding ever since. He has competed in races all over Italy, and he loves to visit the places on his bike that he only read about while studying World Geography in college. Tyler has lead many rides in northern Italy, but he loves the culinary and architectural diversity of our Venice to Bologna trip.
Andrea Marchesini
Andrea imparts the wisdom and knowledge he has gained while traveling the world on all his trips, be it Sud Tyrol Roll, Land of Barolo and Truffles, Assaggio Toscana, or any other tour. A true talent, Andrea's first love is spinning through Europe on two wheels, but he also has taken his musical talents to India, where his jazz fusion band recently performed to thousands of jazz fans. And his network is so vast, that if you're on tour with him, you may even meet a local celebrity – on a recent trip he invited championship Italian cyclist Francesco Moser as a special dinner guest.
Paolo Tabarretti
What Paolo thrives on when leading Ciclismo's trips is that he gets to show his guests hundreds of spectacular sights, vistas, and villages that most locals have not even experienced. He does this so well partly because he's a cartographer and environmental specialist by trade, but mostly due to his pride of all things Italian and his love of the land. Over the past 5 years, Paolo has delighted guests on walking and private trips through Cinque Terre, Sicily and Tuscany.
Gloria Passet-Gros
The innate energy of an active lifestyle, a passion for sports and a keen sense of leadership are what keeps Gloria engaged as a leader of our central and northern European tours. As a ski coach, golf expert and cyclist and swimmer, Gloria assures her guests – both adults and kids alike – that authenticity, exercise and most importantly, FUN – are all part of every route she explores.
Paolo Nicolosi
The King of Sicily – no more needs to be said. If anyone knows La Bella Sicilia, it's Paolo Nicolosi. And boy, does the island know him! Born and raised there, Paolo is ready to share Sicily's vibrant culture, hearty cuisine and breathtaking landscapes with you, like no one else could! Paolo has cycled Sicily with us for almost a decade. Travel anywhere on the island - east, west, north or south - with Paolo and feel southern hospitality and comfort in its truest form.
Cristiano Bonino
"Bravo! Fantastico! Magnifico!" are the words you'll hear when you're on tour with our true island hopper and triathlete extraordinaire. An optimist at heart and his fifth year with Ciclismo Classico, Cristiano completed the 2005 Boston Marathon in an amazing 3:48. His guests love his dynamic touring style and his penchant for taking on those challenging climbs and invigorating descents. Cristiano's favorite trips are Bike Across Italy, Mediterranean Island Hopping and Giro delle Dolomiti.
