Here are a just a few of the customized journeys Ciclismo Classico has created over the years:
Bike and Betrothal
David Andinolfi and his fiancée Marisa wanted to tie the knot in Tuscany and ride off into an Italian sunset together. We planned a wedding for 30 of their close friends and family at a tiny Renaissance chapel in Reggello. The intimate festa at the historic, four-star Fattoria degli Usignoli overlooked vineyards, country vistas, and a golden sunset. After the wedding, guests gently worked off the feast with four lazy days of biking and hiking.
Funride and Fundraise
Steve Rosenberg wanted a fresh, challenging route for his annual fundraising ride for his favorite cause, multiple sclerosis. None of his fellow riders had ever been to Italy, so we designed a route for them in Umbria. The team not only had a blast while raising money for MS but also, by opening up the trip to other fundraisers, forged brand-new cycling friendships along the way.
Just for the Hill of It
One of our biggest cycling race fans, Mark Sylvester, wanted to get his former racing mates together to conquer the famous climbs of the Giro d’Italia. With training, dedication, and perseverance, the team succeeded in soaring over Mortirolo, Stelvio, Pordoi, and Fedaira. They even have the video to prove it!
Leadership for Life
A group of leadership-minded bike lovers wanted to learn what it takes to become a pro cycle-touring guide like our Ciclismo guides. We transported our Tuscany-based training program to Acadia National Park in Maine, where our seasoned master instructor provided coaching in group dynamics, conflict resolution, preparing and conducting a tour, and so much more. Afterward, these would-be guides put their new skills to work on great rides around Mount Desert Island.
After taking the final stroll in cap and gown to receive their master’s degrees, a group of friends wanted a last cycling hurrah before embarking on new careers. The Lake Champlain Bikeway in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom provided the perfect setting. Riding 50 or more miles per day, the group enjoyed fresh air, invigorating exercise, restorative sleep, and plenty of fun and laughter as they recovered from the rigors of graduate school. By the time the trip was over, they were fully recharged and ready to take on the world!
We also have a menu of pre-designed private trips – guaranteed to whet your appetite for adventure!
