To get the most enjoyment out of your active vacation, it is best that you select a tour based on your interest and ability.
Any active person can enjoy a bicycling or hiking vacation as long as he or she follows our suggested training schedule, has a positive attitude, is excited to learn about a new culture, and is open to some physical challenge. Most importantly, go at your own pace, relax, and have FUN!
We offer trips for the following abilities:
Intermediate Level
- Regularly Training Cyclists
- Thorough Pace (For those that train regularly and are in good physical condition)
- 35-50 Miles Per Day
- Rolling and Very Hilly Terrain
Advanced Level
- Avid Cyclists
- Challenging Pace (For those that crave tackling the most spectacular roads)
- 40-60 Miles Per Day
- Rolling Hills and Long Mountain Passes
Beginner Level
- New Cyclists
- Relaxed Pace (For those that want time for photo ops and gelato tasting)
- 20-35 Miles Per Day
- Fairly Flat and Rolling Terrain
Athletic Beginner Level
- New Cyclists
- Steady Pace (For those that exercise regularly and have excellent endurance)
- 25-50 Miles Per Day
- Flat, Rolling and Hilly Terrain
