-
Pan-Massachusetts Challenge
Lauren has ridden the Pan-Mass Challenge for 20 years, logging over 3,500 miles and raising over $100,000 to fight cancer. This annual bike-a-thon raises money for research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund.
-
Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition
Lauren is on the board of directors at MassBike, an advocacy organization for the bicycling public in Massachusetts. Ciclismo Classico is a proud sponsor of many MassBike events, including Bike Night, the Mass Bike Fest, and Mass Bike Pike Tour. We donate the proceeds of our annual Jingle Ride to this statewide organization.
-
Sustainable Business Network
Ciclismo Classico is an active member of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Boston, a community of business leaders who promote raising ethical and environmental standards through special programs and events. In 2010, Ciclismo Classico and fellow members raised over $40,000 for earthquake relief in Haiti.
-
Safe Routes to School
Through her local chapter of Safe Routes to School, Lauren advocates in her hometown of Arlington, Massachusetts, for better bike paths for school children.
-
Social Venture Network
This group is Lauren’s “tribe” of progressive thinkers and entrepreneurs who are making a difference in the world. Social Venture Network (SVN) transforms the way the world does business by leveraging its members’ collective strengths of leadership, knowledge and enterprise for a more just and sustainable economy.
-
Bikes Belong
The goal of the national coalition of bicycle suppliers and retailers is to encourage more people to use bicycles more often. Ciclismo makes an annual donation to this action-oriented organization.
